"It takes people to make the dream a reality..."

Well it's been a busy past couple of weeks. I've had lots of training shifts at work and can now officially say that I have "earned my ears".  My shifts for the foreseeable future will now involve a mix of the roles i've been trained in - seater, greeter, chippy filler, chippy register, stocker, and beer cart. Thank you to all my trainers (Georgie, Alice, Livvy, Meg and Joe) for passing on your wisdom over the last two weeks <3
Things in the parks have slowed down in the past few days - the UK holidaymakers seem to have gone, and with American schools also going back, its been much quieter in Epcot this week.  The Food and Wine huts are beginning to go up around the world showcase though (very exciting) - a reminder that it will soon be into one of our busiest times of year!!

Aside from work, I've kept myself busy with lots of trips to the parks and meet-ups after finishing shifts! Watching Ariel being put in a bag at Fantasmic is one of my new favourite pastimes. The newbies have now been 'thrown in', and quite a few of us have also been going along to Happy Mondays as part of the UK lads and lasses team.  Our flip cup skills do however need some more practice!

Some us also made it along to the 'Down the Bayou' Welcome Event at Chatham.  We had a great night, with lots of free pizza and giveaways.  It was all very surreal being able to join in with the American line dances and dance away outdoors with it still being so warm.

I had the following day off, so Jasmine and I went to Universal to go on the Hulk one last time before it closes next week for refurbishment. With a ride on the Hogwarts Express and lunch in the Leaky Cauldron, I could think of worse ways to spend an afternoon.  An evening trip to Epcot was on the cards, and after meeting some of the others when they finished work, we visited Isabel and Gabby at work at the Mexican Pavilion, before sampling some of their finest Margaritas :) We then watched Illuminations from the UK, got an amazing cake from the bakery in France, ended up buying more substantial food in Japan, and finished off with some delicious caramel goods from Germany. #worldshowcaseproblems

The next day was Dena's birthday, so we all surprised her after work and went to Beaches and Cream at the Yacht and Beach Club for their famous Kitchen Sink ice cream!  Having attempted the kitchen sink challenge twice before, I opted for a chocolate brownie sunday instead (which was rather amazing too) <3

The next morning, Sophie, Jasmine, Katie and I headed to Magic Kingdom for breakfast at Be Our Guest <3 Having only recently started running their breakfast menu, it was a special treat that I'd really been looking forward to! I ordered the bacon and brie open sandwich (which was yum), and they also bring pastries to the table (double yum).
With another couple of days off, it's time for a bit of a chill, catching up with all the boring chores, and shopping for Halloween outfits in preparation for the Wilderness Explorers arriving next week.

Stay tuned for another update soon!!
